This policy explains how personal data is handled on benidormbus.com, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

Data controller

Looking up timetables needs no data

You can use the whole timetable search without identifying yourself. No account and no personal data are needed to look up routes, stops or connections.

We collect no personal data

This site asks for no personal details and collects no personal data from its visitors. The only records generated are the technical server logs described below.

The Android app

The Benidorm Bus Android app likewise asks for no registration or sign-in, and collects no personal data. Favourites (saved stops, lines and journeys) and your language and theme settings are stored only on your phone, and are never sent to any server.

To look up timetables the app connects to this same server and requests the same public data you see on this website, without sending anything that identifies you. It contains no advertising and no analytics tools.

The one exception is maps: when you open the map of a line or a stop, the app —like this website— downloads the map imagery from the OpenStreetMap servers, which receive your IP address as they would on any website visit. That is the same information this site already has in its own logs, and it carries no identifier of yours.

Server logs

The server keeps technical access logs (date, resource requested, user agent and IP address) under legitimate interest in the security and maintenance of the service (art. 6.1.f GDPR), for a maximum of 30 days.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses no tracking or advertising cookies as it stands, which is why it shows no consent banner.

If advertising or cookie-based analytics are added in future, your prior consent will be requested through a banner and this policy updated before they are switched on.

Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to [email protected] and proving your identity.

If you believe the processing does not comply with the rules, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

International transfers

Data is hosted on servers located in the European Union.

The exception is the map imagery, served by the OpenStreetMap Foundation from the United Kingdom: when a map is shown, your browser or the app connects directly to their servers and those see your IP address. The United Kingdom holds an adequacy decision from the European Commission, so that transfer is covered by Article 45 GDPR.
